Eligibility for VAT Relief

The government has outlined the criteria for eligibility for VAT relief, which include:

  • Charities that provide their charity number. Individuals who are considered “chronically sick or disabled” as defined by:
  • Having a physical or mental impairment that has a long-term and substantial impact on their ability to carry out everyday activities.  Having a condition that is medically treated as a chronic sickness, such as diabetes. Being terminally ill.

It’s important to note that VAT exemption does NOT apply to individuals who are only temporarily disabled or incapacitated, such as those with a broken limb, or frail elderly persons who are otherwise able-bodied.

Proof of Disability

In order to be exempt from VAT, the government requires a simple declaration of the nature of one’s disability at the time of ordering. No proof of the disability needs to be provided to any party. I was nervous about two things: spending a lot of money on something I'd only seen on the internet, not heard of from a 'real' person - and also nervous about using something internally as I freak out during smear tests as they are so painful - I get vaginismus (also during sexual intercourse). I wonder why I took so long for me to do something about the problem I had with leaking. It had got to the stage that even going downstairs I would leak and when the lift at work broke I was goind down 3 flights of stairs and I could feel the leaks onvirtually every one. My sex life was non existant - we'll the occasional fumble, but I hadnt had an orgasm through sex for ages.     I wanted to wait the full 12 weeks before writing a review, but, I'm currently on day 6 of using once a day and I have already noticed a significant difference, I am so pleased it's working. I had been looking at this for over 2 years but I didn't think I could justify spending that much money, but i finally took the plunge and bought it and I can not wait to see how much more things will improve for me. Any ladies reading this and are worried about spending this kind of money, I can assure you that it's totally worth it. I'm 24 and have 2 kids, I was always self conscious of the way my body was after handling pregnancy and childbirth. My pelvic floor was probably destroyed in the process. But i can't wait to see how the next few weeks go and hoping I can see even more of a result and get some confidence back

    This is the second Kegel machine I have used and this is much better than the previous one. The instruction booklet is very comprehensive and useful to set the correct program. The probe is not as easy to insert but works better when in place.

    Wow - this is much less of a pain and faff to use than I thought it might be (which was the reason I left ordering until I was absolutely desperate): it's actually super-easy, and despite the somewhat daunting looking guide, it's very quick to find the sections you need, run the preliminary programmes, and start working on your pelvic floor. I'm only two weeks in, and already finding an improvement to my urge/stress incontinence - I only wish I'd ordered much earlier.

    Apart from the easy set-up and use, it's also not at all an unpleasant sensation - and best of all, apart from the fact it actually works, of course, is that it's also teaching me about how to tighten my own pelvic floor muscles at other times (turns out I've spent all these years not quite getting it right, despite investing in all sorts of other gadgets). Buy one today - you really won't regret it.

    I looked on the internet to see if there was any help for a prolapse because due to covid the Dr put my name down to see a gynaecologist but had a letter to say there was a long waiting list ! It did cost quite a bit , but am trying it . The instructions are a bit questionable but with the help from the email I am getting there slowly. So far I recommend Kegel8 to any one.

    my previous toner stopped working (I have had this for a few years) and I noticed quite quickly that my prolapse seemed to get a little worse. I ordered a new one and am very pleased. Even though my prolapse cannot be reversed, the pelvic toner definitely helps it from getting worse.

    Having been diagnosed with a prolapsed bladder (retocele) my doctor said I could have a pessary fitted but I wasn’t too keen on this as they can cause an infection, so I had a look online to see what other information I could find. And lo and behold I stumbled across the Kegel8 website, and OMG I’m so glad I did. Having spent ages reading a lot of the reviews I just knew I had to buy one. I opted for the Kegel8 Ultra 20 V2 and wow was I surprised upon using it. Kegel8 has changed and improved my life immensely, it just works. I found having to do pelvic floor exercises several times a day, not only difficult, but extremely tiring and I hated it, but had to do it. But with the Kegel8 Ultra, it was so much easier, I wouldn’t be without it. It’s a little machine but it packs an almighty punch, but is in no way painful. I can’t believe how good it is, but take it from me it is, it really is, and I would most definitely recommend it. Also the Kegel8 company are superb.
